She has never thought she would be hairless earlier than her boyfriend. She couldn't imagine she would miss her ponytail tickling her back. And she hasn't supposed at all, that close surrounding and people passing her on the street would support her believing she is given chemo. Due to an autoimmune disease she lost all her hairs in a few months, she had to deal with changes of her visage, with feeling that her womanhood is gone and with the wigs on the market. A circle of examination and vain hopes has brought many situations taken easy by the author. She paints her first year with no hair in smart comics which thanks to Štěpánka Jislová and her unmissable drawings follows a rich tradition of autobiographical comics worldwide.


One of the form of alopecy have undergone or undergoes 147 millions people all around the world. The alopecy is a partner for entire life for approx. 2 % of patients. Comics beside further education brings encouragement to all patients who deal with this disease.
